The idea that you are here now and there is no other time but now. You are here because if you are not here you know you are not living. You reach inside your self and know that the only moment that you have is now. A great sense of Quiet overcomes you and the peace inside you grows knowing you have taken this day and made something of it. This is a day that does not subtract from the sum of your life.

Quiet was created on the shores of Swiftcurrent lake in Glacier National Park on a early morning expedition. A soft rain was coming down intermittently. When the rain abetted the quiet was overwhelming in all the best ways. The lake was calm and the reflections captured the soft dreamy clouds rolling by overhead.

To me this piece is about finding that Quiet in your life that allows you to listen to the voice inside of you saying “I am alive, Life has more in store for me.” This peace allows you to settle into your soul and take respite from the fear of death and a life unlived.
