Acrylic:
For a modern, high-end print, acrylic-mounted fine art prints are the best there is. These are prints in which a high-quality archival print is made then mounted between a layer of acrylic and a sturdy backing material. Acrylic prints give a contemporary and visually striking presentation of the artwork. The acrylic enhances the colors and details of the print while protecting it from environmental factors. Acrylic-mounted fine art prints are popular for their modern aesthetic and the way they showcase the artwork with a clean, frameless look.
Here's a breakdown of the components:
Fine Art Print: The artwork is printed on high-quality archival paper using professional-grade printers. This ensures color accuracy, sharp details, and longevity.
Acrylic Glass: Instead of traditional framing with glass, acrylic glass is used for a more modern and sleek appearance. Acrylic is lightweight, shatter-resistant, and provides UV protection to prevent fading over time.
Mounting Process: The print is carefully adhered to the acrylic sheet using an adhesive or a vacuum-sealing process. This creates a bond between the print and the acrylic, eliminating the need for a traditional frame.
Backing Material: Behind the print, there is a white paper backing material, that protects the fine art print and provides stability and support.
Hanging System: Acrylic-mounted prints come with a wire hanging system that allows the artwork to be displayed on the wall without visible brackets or frames. The wire is attached to a frame on the back that allows for a floating effect.
