There is a exquisite magnificence to being in the mountains of Colorado. This peak especially rising out of this wonderfully quiet meadow remind me that there is more for me to experience, that life still beckons me to explore. I come here to find myself and to quiet the chaos of the modern world. The iconic peak is a sentinel on the horizon at all times beckoning me home.
This place reminds me that I am a soul reaching into itself to find the spaces that are untouched by grief, a soul still trying to live.
The Four Seasons Project was my way through the epidemic of Covid 19. The world seemed to have gone mad, the divisions among us surfaced and seemed to pull people apart. Many people were isolated in their homes. Others like myself took to the mountains. This iconic location is breathtaking. It never gets old to me, I would spend my life here. I ached to see this special place in all the seasons and all the faces of the year. The resulting images capture the essence of Colorado to me. The images captures the true majesty of this mountain clothed in the beauty of the turning of the seasons when we are reminded there is beauty in change.
